Canary Islands Resort & Spa, Lonavala

I am very surprised that the management of the resort has not bothered to respond to a single review that has shared critical reviews. Bad experiences can happen at any property. However, the customer-focus of a property is visible when they respond to critical reviews and at least express their willingness to address the issues in future. This is disappointing. I was actually considering booking this place but the lack of responsiveness and empathy from the property management is a big discouragement.

An Honest Review of 2 Nights spent at Canary Islands Resort Lonavala Services :2.5/5 :- The Room Service was average. We had to call up the reception at least 4-5 Times for a simple writing Pen to be given to us . Multiple Calls has to be made for getting us the Television working in order which was not functional most of the time. The Front desk is very mechanical and the warmth was missing since the date of checkin Food :- 5/5 :- Although the prices of the food are expensive vis-a vis the quantity given, I must say the quality and the taste of the food was top notch. Every meal that we had , be it the Soft Kulcha, Chole or Pizzas were delicious and up to the mark. I must mention the names of two very warm and courteous individuals Rupsha and Keya who served us the food with utmost warmth and care, and ensured that we are being attended promptly. Gaming Zone:- 3/5:- The Gaming zone was poorly maintained. The Table tennis ball was kept broken on the first day of visit, and dust near the carrom area Swimming Pool: 4/5:- The Infinity Pool was good and clean, However you cannot swim towards late evening as there are no lights in the pool which I was told was functional earlier but its not the case for now. Network:- 1/5 :- Be assured you WONT have any Mobile network(JIO, Airtel, VI etc) in the entire property and you are at the mercy of their WIFI which is pathetic enough to drive you nuts Water Sports:- 4/5 :- The water Sports are fun and they have a good variety, However the vehicles like the Water Cycle were poorly maintained given the prices they charge for the experience. Value for Money: 3/5:- Overall its not a great Value for money proposition, given the property charges a bomb for the services delivered.

"Disappointing Experience - Unexplained Booking Cancellation" I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the Canary Island resort in Lonavala. Upon reaching the resort, I was shocked to find out that my booking had been abruptly canceled without any prior intimation or clear reason provided. This lack of communication is unacceptable and left me stranded without accommodation. The frustration and inconvenience caused by this sudden cancellation overshadowed any potential positives of the resort. It's crucial for a hospitality establishment to uphold transparency and communicate changes to guests, which unfortunately was sorely lacking in this case. I strongly advise potential guests to exercise caution when booking at Canary Island resort, as the uncertainty and inconvenience I faced upon arrival were unacceptable. Such unprofessional behavior tarnishes the reputation of the resort and reflects poorly on their commitment to customer service. I strongly caution anyone considering this resort to think twice before making a reservation, as my experience was marred by incompetence and a complete lack of consideration for guests. Brand image - You tarnished it all by yourself by not being so welcoming to your guests. Just giving a quick response online won't give any positives instead you could have been quick while addressing the real issue of your utter mismanagement. Otherwise you will always end up in mutual agreement business instead of your so called resort business.

One of the most luxurious and finest resorts we recently visited in terms of location, scenery,hygiene,cottages. ..Also, the water sport jet ski was amazing . Great Staff ,friendly and attentive!..Thank you Mr Pradip, Yogesh, karan Singh, chefs …and team! Only thing to pay attention to intercom, resorts wi-fi n indoor sports equipment. Overall, we had a memorable experience inside Canary Islands a must visit property !!!….

Its a great concept with a few good experiences created at the property for eg. boat ride to your room, 'beach' front, water sports however needs quite a lot of work on quality of breakfast (to justify the steep tariff), quality of service, more spaces to spend time if you don't want to go spa or water sports. Also considering this space is more than an hour drive from Lonavala city one is forced to spend time at the resort & hv their expensive food which is a deterrent for a 2nd visit. Overall a decent experience but for one time only!
